Heavy rain with thunderstorms continues this morning. Hazards: Rainfall totals of 30 to 50 mm over a few locales. Wind gusts up to 70 km/h in thunderstorms. Timing: This morning and early this afternoon. Discussion: Showers and thunderstorms are moving over northwestern Ontario today as a low pressure system crossed over the region. Some areas may receive 30 to 50 mm of rain within the heaviest showers. Some thunderstorms may also bring wind gusts up to 70 km/h. Should stronger wind or nickel sized hail or larger be anticipated severe thunderstorm watches or warnings will be issued.
