Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. There is also a risk of a tornado. Thunderstorms have developed over the Foothills and portions of central Alberta. Thunderstorms will move eastwards towards central Alberta and are expected to reach the Edmonton area later this evening. Damage to roofs, fences, branches or soft shelters is possible. Be prepared for severe weather. If threatening weather approaches, take cover in a basement or interior room. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail. When thunder roars, go indoors! Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Don't drive through flooded roadways. Large hail can cause significant damage and injury. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain. - Click on the "Close" button to save the change

- Use the Enter key to click on buttons or links

  - Use the ↑ Up key to select the link above. If none are selected, it will select the first link.
  - Use the ↓ Down key to select the link below. If none are selected, it will select the last link.
  - Use the Page Up key to move a selection up in the list.
