Wave height forecasts for Newfoundland issued by Environment Canada
at 6:00 p.m. NDT Tuesday 29 April 2025 for tonight and Wednesday.
The next scheduled forecast will be issued at 6:00 a.m. NDT
Wednesday.

Forecast values are combined wind wave and swell heights. Highest
waves may be more than twice forecast values. Wave heights may vary
considerably due to shoreline and depth effects.

Strait of Belle Isle.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 metre or less.

Northeast Gulf.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 late overnight then subsiding
to 1 to 2 Wednesday evening.

Gulf - Port au Port.
Seas 2 to 3 metres building to 3 to 4 late overnight then subsiding
to 2 to 3 Wednesday afternoon.

Southwest Coast.
Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to 3 near noon Wednesday.

South Coast.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 near midnight.

East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south
Southwestern Grand Banks.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 Wednesday morning.

East Coast - north of Cape St. Francis.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 late overnight.

Northeast Coast.
Outside the ice edge seas 1 to 2 metres.

Belle Isle Bank.
Outside the ice edge seas 2 to 3 metres except 3 to 4 over northern
sections tonight. Seas subsiding to 1 to 2 Wednesday afternoon.

Funk Island Bank.
Seas 2 to 3 metres except 1 to 2 over northwestern sections. Seas
subsiding to 1 to 2 near noon Wednesday.

Northern Grand Banks.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 Wednesday afternoon.

Southeastern Grand Banks.
Seas 2 to 3 metres subsiding to 1 to 2 Wednesday evening.
