Issued 9:37 PM EST 09 December 2024 A major low pressure system with explosive development will cross the St Lawrence River near Quebec City on Thursday morning to lie over northern Quebec in the evening.As this system approaches, storm force southerly winds will develop Thursday morning and become westerly late in the day. Gale force westerlies will persist on Friday and may cause freezing spray as the temperatures drop in its wake.
In addition, wave heights could reach up to 3 or 4 metres depending on the area.
