northwest-southeast over the eastern Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:44 AM NDT 10 October 2024 A trough of low pressure over Eastern Newfoundland will slowly trackacross eastern waters before moving east of the district on Friday.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies will continue ahead of the
trough.
This trough will strengthen into a low over the Labrador coast on
Friday. Strong to gale force northwest to westerly winds will develop
over western and southern waters late in the day on Friday as the low
strengthens.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, South Coast, and
Northeast Coast.
