By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 963 mb located east of the Marine
District.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough from low located
over southern Labrador Sea.
At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Sunday dissipating ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 10:02 AM NST 6 December 2025 A low pressure system southeast of Funk Island Bank will move to lieeast of the marine district by this afternoon. Gale to storm force
west to northwesterlies will diminish to strong to gale force this
evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank, Northern Grand Banks, and Southeastern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Strait of
Belle Isle - western half and Gulf waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast, and
Northeast Coast.
Marine interests are also advised that water levels are expected to
exceed the highest astronomical tide with high waves and pounding
surf, impacting some coastal areas of Southwest Coast, South Coast
and East Coast this morning, most significant near high tide.
