By 3:30 p.m. NDT Thursday low 994 mb located over the northern
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:24 PM NDT 17 April 2024 A low pressure system over the East Coast of Newfoundland will moveto lie over Funk Island Bank later this afternoon. A second low
pressure system will develop over the Grand Banks this evening
absorbing the first low. Strong to gale force northerlies will
develop over northern waters this evening and begin to spread
southward Thursday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half, Gulf waters, East
Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank - southeastern
half, and the Grand Banks.
