Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 970 mb located northeast of
Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located over Labrador Sea.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday trough located over Funk Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday ridge located from Labrador Sea to
the Maritimes.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM NST 26 February 2021 A deepening low pressure system over the Funk Island Bank will
continue northeastwards away from the district today. Gale force
southwesterlies south of the low will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake before diminishing over most waters
tonight.

Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure approaching from the Labrador Sea
will cross northeastern waters later today and tonight. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies will persist over northeastern waters as
the trough passes.

On Saturday, strong to gale force southwesterlies are expected to
develop over western waters between a passing ridge of high pressure
and a trough approaching from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Grand Banks.
