Issued 8:00 PM NST 17 February 2026 Tonight and Wednesday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 969 mb located southwest of the
Grand Banks.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday low 966 mb located over the northern
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:45 PM NST 17 February 2026 An intense low pressure system southwest of the Grand Banks will
cross the Grand Banks through the remainder of the forecast period.
Gale to storm force southerlies to northeasterlies ahead of the low
will shift to gale to storm force westerlies to northwesterlies in
its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, Funk Island Bank and the
Southern Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, and Southwest Coast
- west of Ramea.
