Issued 3:00 AM NDT 13 March 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 995 mb located over western
Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday low 951 mb located northeast of Belle
Isle Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT Saturday low 1002 mb located over southern New
Brunswick.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Saturday low 999 mb located over western Cape
Breton Island.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:48 AM NDT 13 March 2026 A deepening low pressure system over Western Newfoundland will slowly
track northeastward today to lie northeast of Belle Isle Bank by
early Saturday morning. Strong to gale force southwesterlies are
expected south of the low today. As the low rapidly deepens over
Belle Isle Bank this evening, gale to storm force northwesterlies to
southwesterlies, except storm to hurricane force over Belle Isle
Bank, will develop to its west and south.

A second low pressure system will approach from the Maritimes late in
the day on Saturday. Strong to gale force easterlies to
southeasterlies are expected over southwesternmost waters ahead of
the low.

Marine interests are advised that a hurricane force wind warning is
in effect for Belle Isle Bank. Storm warnings are in effect for East
Coast, Northeast Coast, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast and the Grand Banks.
