At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight approaching Hurricane Epsilon 968 mb
located south of Nova Scotia.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday ridge located over the Northeast Coast
of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:55 AM NDT 23 October 2020 On Saturday, a trough of low pressure will approach the marine
district from the west while hurricane epsilon nears the Southern
Grand Banks from the southwest. Gale force southeasterlies will
spread across southern waters Saturday morning as hurricane epsilon
approaches, while gale force southerlies will develop over northern
waters Saturday afternoon ahead of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Belle Isle Bank, and the
Southern Grand Banks.

At 12:30 A.M. NDT, hurricane epsilon was located near latitude 32.6
north and longitude 61.6 west, about 160 nautical miles east of
Bermuda. Maximum sustained winds were estimated at 75 knots and
central pressure at 968 MB. Epsilon is moving north-northwest at 8

Epsilon is expected to make a turn to the north then northeast on
Saturday and pass through the Southern Grand Banks on Sunday as a
hurricane or strong post-tropical storm.
