Cabot Strait.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the East Coast of Newfoundland.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday trough located from Anticosti Island
to the Grand Banks.

Issued 2:48 AM NDT 19 May 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Northern Grand Banks will move tolie southeast of the district this morning. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies ahead of the trough will diminish this morning as the
trough passes.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northern Grand Banks and Southeastern Grand Banks.
