Issued 8:00 PM NST 15 December 2019 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located on a line east-west overBelle Isle Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing trough located north of Belle
Isle Bank.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight trough located over Anticosti Island.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Monday trough located on a line north-south over
the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:44 PM NST 15 December 2019 A trough of low pressure over the Belle Isle Bank will slowly tracknorthward overnight before departing into the Labrador Sea Monday
morning. Strong to gale force east to southeasterlies ahead of the
trough will shift to strong to gale force south to southwesterlies in
its wake.
A second trough will approach from the west on Monday. Strong to gale
force south to southwesterlies will increase to gale to storm force
westerlies overnight and Monday with this feature.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Port au Port, Southwest Coast, South Coast, and East Coast -
Cape St. Francis and south. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast and
Belle Isle Bank.
