District.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Sunday departing low 983 mb located east of the
Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Sunday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Funk Island Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:50 PM NST 9 December 2023 A low pressure system east of Belle Isle Bank will remain nearly
stationary before finally departing to the east late Sunday. Strong
to gale force northwesterlies will diminish through Sunday as a ridge
moves in from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and
the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that large waves, pounding surf and
higher than normal water levels are possible this evening along
portions of the East Coast and Northeast Coast from Cape St. Francis
to Cape St. John.
