Issued 3:30 PM NDT 9 May 2021 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 990 mb located over southwestern
Newfoundland.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Monday low 988 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today trough from low located on a line east-west
over Funk Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday weakening trough located on a line east-west
over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:18 PM NDT 9 May 2021 A low pressure system over Southwestern Newfoundland will move to lie
over Funk Island Bank on Monday. An associated trough over Funk
Island Bank will move to lie over Belle Isle Bank this evening then
weaken overnight. Strong to gale force east to northeasterlies over
northern waters ahead of the trough will diminish overnight, while
strong to gale force west to southwesterlies will persist across
southern waters south of the low. Northeasterly gales will redevelop
over Belle Isle Bank late in the day Monday as the low intensifies
northeast of Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf - northwestern half, Gulf - Port
au Port - northwestern half, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast
- Cape St. Francis and south, Belle Isle Bank, and Northern Grand
Banks.
