Issued 3:30 PM NST 29 January 2023 Tonight and Monday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located over Belle Isle Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing trough located south of
Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST Monday low 1014 mb located over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday low 1008 mb located over the Northeast
Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line east-west over the
southern Grand Banks.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:21 PM NST 29 January 2023 A trough located over Belle Isle Bank will track northeast tonight.
Strong to gale force southwesterly winds ahead of the trough and
strong to gale force westerlies in its wake will diminish overnight
and Monday morning as the trough departs.

A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will cross
Newfoundland on Monday. Strong to gale force southeasterly to
southwesterly winds will develop to the east and south of the low's
track on Monday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Gulf waters and the Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
