Issued 3:00 AM NDT 16 October 2026 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low 975 mb located over eastern Funk
Island Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing low 972 mb located south
of Greenland.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 996 mb located over Maine.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Saturday low 979 mb located over northern Belle
Isle Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located over Maine.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:45 AM NDT 16 October 2026 A low pressure system over Funk Island Bank will move to lie south of
Greenland overnight tonight. Gale to storm force northwesterlies in
the wake of the low will diminish today and tonight as the low moves
away.

A second low approaching from the southwest will cross the district
on Saturday. Strong to gale force southerlies to southeasterlies will
develop ahead of the low tonight before shifting to gale to storm
force westerlies to southwesterlies as it passes on Saturday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
