Issued 8:00 PM NDT 9 May 2021 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight low 991 mb located over western
Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NDT Monday low 986 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight trough from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Monday weakening trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Belle Isle Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:48 PM NDT 9 May 2021 A low pressure system over Western Newfoundland will move to lie over
Funk Island Bank on Monday. An associated trough over Belle Isle
Bank will weaken overnight. Strong to gale force east to
northeasterlies over northern waters ahead of the trough will
diminish overnight, while strong to gale force west to
southwesterlies will persist across southern waters south of the low.
Northeasterly gales will redevelop over Belle Isle Bank late in the
day Monday as the low intensifies northeast of Funk Island Bank.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Gulf - northwestern half, Gulf - Port au Port -
northwestern half, Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast - Cape
St. Francis and south, Belle Isle Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
