Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:21 PM NST 9 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over Funk Island Bank extending to the EastCoast of Newfoundland will continue to move southward over the
forecast period and to lie over the Northern Grand Banks by Tuesday.
Strong to gale force northeasterlies will spread to the north of the
trough.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
