northeast-southwest over the Avalon Peninsula.
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Tuesday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:55 PM NST 11 November 2024 A trough of low pressure over Southwestern Newfoundland will tracktonight to lie over the Avalon Peninsula Tuesday afternoon. Strong to
gale force south to southeasterlies are expected across all waters
ahead of this trough. Strong northerlies can be expected over western
waters in the wake of the trough late Tuesday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle
Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
