Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:44 PM NST 13 January 2026 A low pressure system northeast of Belle Isle Bank will continue totrack northeastward farther away from the district tonight and
Wednesday. Strong to gale force westerlies to southwesterlies will
gradually diminish over all waters as the low moves away and weakens.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank,
Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
