Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NDT 3 August 2021 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 999 mb located over the
Burin Peninsula.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today low 995 mb located northeast of Funk
Island Bank.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today low located over Quebec.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 1000 mb located over southern
Labrador Sea.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:53 PM NDT 2 August 2021 A low pressure system approaching from the southwest will track
across Eastern Newfoundland early Tuesday morning. The low will
continue northeastward across the Funk Island Bank before moving east
of the marine district Tuesday afternoon. Strong to gale force west
to southwesterlies are expected to develop south of the low's track
overnight tonight and will diminish by Tuesday afternoon as the low
moves away.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south, and the Grand
Banks.
