northeast-southwest over Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today low 976 mb located south of Banquereau.
By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday low 973 mb located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing low 973 mb located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:50 AM NST 8 February 2026 A trough of low pressure over the Labrador coast will move southward
to lie over the Strait of Belle Isle tonight, and continue southward
over Newfoundland on Monday. Strong to gale force northeasterlies
will develop to the north of the trough.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank.
