Grand Banks.
At 8:00 p.m. NST Monday approaching low 997 mb located over Maine.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over the Maritimes.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday ridge located over eastern Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:48 AM NST 9 November 2025 A low pressure system over Newfoundland will track eastward along theSouth Coast of Newfoundland to lie east of the Northern Grand Banks
by this afternoon. The low will then depart to the east of the marine
district as a ridge of high pressure builds from the west tonight.
Strong to gale force southerlies to southwesterlies can be expected
to the south of the low today. Winds will diminish on Monday to light
and variable as the ridge builds from the west.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Grand Banks.
