At 3:00 a.m. NST Sunday low 970 mb located southwest of the
Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Sunday low 971 mb located south of the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:51 AM NST 7 February 2026 An intense low pressure system over the Southeastern Grand Banks willtrack northeastward to lie east of the marine district overnight.
Gale to storm force northerlies to northeasterlies over southern
waters will gradually diminish to strong to gale force northerlies
this evening.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for South Coast, East
Coast, and Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Belle Isle Bank.
