By 10:00 a.m. NST today departing low 945 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over Ontario.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the West Coast of Newfoundland.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line north-south over
the West Coast of Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Thursday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:56 AM NST 17 December 2025 An intense low pressure system southeast of Greenland will depart to
the east today. Gale force west to northwesterlies over northeastern
waters behind the low will diminish this morning as it departs.

A trough of low pressure currently over Ontario will cross the marine
district on Thursday. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will
spread across the marine district ahead of the trough today before
shifting to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake on
Thursday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
