Issued 3:30 PM NDT 22 September 2020 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. NDT today Hurricane Teddy 956 mb located at 40.3N
64.1W.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Wednesday Post-tropical Storm Teddy 972 mb located
at 47.2N 60.8W.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located from the Gulf of St. Lawrence
to the Grand Banks.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:32 PM NDT 22 September 2020 Hurricane Teddy, currently over southwestern maritime waters, will
track northeastwards south of Nova Scotia tonight while transitioning
into a post-tropical storm. Post-tropical storm Teddy will cross
Cape Breton Wednesday morning before tracking along the west coast of
Newfoundland Wednesday night. Gale force east to southerlies over
Southern Newfoundland waters this evening will spread to most
remaining waters on Wednesday. Gale to storm force southerlies are
expected over the Southwest Coast Wednesday afternoon and evening as
Teddy passes just to the west.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Southwest Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle and the Gulf waters.

Marine interests are also advised that a high water level warning is
in effect for Southwest Coast.

Large waves and pounding surf, especially along the South Coast of
Newfoundland from the Burin Peninsula to Port aux Basques can be
expected overnight tonight into Wednesday evening.

At 3:30 P.M. NDT, hurricane Teddy was located near latitude 40.3
north and longitude 64.1 west, about 261 nautical miles south of
Halifax. Maximum sustained winds were estimated at 85 knots and
central pressure at 956 MB. Teddy is moving north at 15 knots.
