Issued 3:30 PM NST 2 February 2023 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. NST today departing low 980 mb located east of theMarine District.
At 3:00 a.m. NST Friday approaching trough located over the
Maritimes.
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over Newfoundland.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Friday departing ridge located over the Grand
Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:11 PM NST 2 February 2023 A trough of low pressure will approach the marine district from thesouthwest tonight and cross Newfoundland on Friday. Gale to storm
force south to southeasterlies will spread across most waters on
Friday ahead of the trough and veer to strong to gale force
westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast, Northeast Coast and the
Southern Grand Banks.
