Issued 3:30 PM NST 18 February 2020 Tonight and Wednesday At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the northern Grand Banks.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.

By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday approaching trough located over Maine.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:22 PM NST 18 February 2020 A trough of low pressure over the Northern Grand Banks will move
southeastwards to lie east of the Grand Banks this evening. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies can be expected over eastern waters in the
wake of the trough this evening.

On Wednesday, a second trough of low pressure will track across the
marine district. Gale to storm force southerlies ahead of the trough
will shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake late in the
day on Wednesday.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast, Funk Island Bank, and the
Grand Banks. Gale warnings are in effect for Gulf - Port au Port,
Northeast Coast, and Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Strait of Belle Isle, Southwest
Coast and the Southern Grand Banks.
