Issued 3:00 AM ADT 12 March 2026 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:00 a.m. ADT today low 995 mb located over southern Quebec.By 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 994 mb located over the Gulf of
St. Lawrence.
At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday trough from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the eastern Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:48 AM ADT 12 March 2026 A low pressure system approaching from Southern Quebec will moveeastward across the Gulf of St. Lawrence today. Strong to gale force
southeasterlies will develop ahead of the low today and shift to
strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Fundy, Northumberland Strait, and Chaleur - Miscou
- western half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait - northern half and all Gulf of St. Lawrence
waters except Northumberland Strait.
