Issued 8:00 PM ADT 12 March 2026 Tonight and Friday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight departing low 994 mb located over thenortheastern Gulf of St. Lawrence.
At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday trough from low located on a line
northeast-southwest over the eastern Marine District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday departing trough located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:53 PM ADT 12 March 2026 A low pressure system over the Northeastern Gulf of St. Lawrence willmove eastward and away from the district tonight. A trough extending
from the low will cross eastern waters tonight and Friday morning.
Strong to gale force southerlies ahead of the trough will shift to
strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for Fundy, Grand Manan, Lurcher, Browns Bank, Georges
Bank, southwestern shore, West Scotian Slope, Northumberland Strait,
and Chaleur - Miscou - western half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait - northern half and all Gulf of St. Lawrence
waters except Northumberland Strait.
