By 3:00 a.m. AST Saturday ridge located over the Marine District.
At 10:00 a.m. AST Saturday approaching trough located from Quebec
to the Great Lakes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:43 AM AST 27 January 2023 A cold front extending from an intense low pressure system overLabrador will track east of the district this morning as the low
moves into the Labrador Sea. Storm force southerlies ahead of the
associated cold front will diminish to strong to gale force
southwesterlies in the wake of the front.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - eastern half, Laurentian Fan - eastern half, and
Anticosti.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for all Gulf of St. Lawrence
waters.
