By 3:00 a.m. AST Tuesday low 975 mb located east of Newfoundland.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight approaching ridge located over the
Great Lakes.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:50 AM AST 8 December 2025 A low pressure system over the Gulf of Maine will track south of NovaScotia today and lie near Southeastern Newfoundland this evening.
Gale to storm force northwesterlies will develop across the district
today in the wake of the low. In addition, freezing spray is expected
over most northern waters late Monday as these northwesterlies usher
in cold air.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Banquereau - northern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Fundy and Northumberland Strait - western
half.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, and all Gulf of
St. Lawrence waters.
