to East Scotian Slope.
At 3:00 a.m. ADT Friday low 997 mb located near Eastern Shore.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday low 982 mb located east of Banquereau.
At 3:00 a.m. ADT today ridge located over the central Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located east of the Marine District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:54 AM ADT 23 March 2023 A low pressure system over Ontario will approach the district todayreaching Maine by this evening and extending a warm front over the
southwestern marine district. The low is forecast to intensify as it
tracks eastward over Nova Scotia tonight and Banquereau Friday
morning. The disturbance will depart the marine district Friday
evening. Strong to gale force easterly winds ahead of the system
shift to strong to gale force westerlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Georges Bank - southern half, West Scotian Slope - southern half,
eastern shore - eastern half, Sable - eastern half, East Scotian
Slope - northeastern half, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, and
Cabot Strait.
