Issued 3:30 PM AST 26 November 2022 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. AST today deepening low 976 mb located over Banquereau.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday low 964 mb located over southeastern
Laurentian Fan.

By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday departing low 976 mb located southeast of
the Grand Banks.

At 10:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Maritimes.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Monday departing ridge located over the eastern
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:13 PM AST 26 November 2022 A low pressure system over Banquereau this evening will continue to
deepen as it slowly tracks southeast overnight. Storm to hurricane
force winds are expected over eastern waters in the vicinity of the

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for East Scotian Slope - eastern half and Laurentian Fan.
Storm warnings are in effect for West Scotian Slope, eastern shore,
Sable, East Scotian Slope - western half, Fourchu, Banquereau and
Northumberland Strait - eastern half. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Chaleur - Miscou - western half and

Higher than normal water levels are expected this evening in the Gulf
of St. Lawrence. A high water level warning is in effect for
Northumberland Strait, and a storm surge warning is in effect for
Antigonish County. There is also a threat of minor flooding and
overwash for parts of Northern Prince Edward Island, the Bay of
Chaleur and for northeast facing shorelines from the Acadian
Peninsula south to Kent County near high tide between 5:00 PM and
8:00 P.M.

Outlook for the start of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.


Lfa33: winds southwest 35 to 40 knots becoming west 25 near noon and
shifting to northwest 25 in the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 metres
building to 3 metres in the morning.

Lfa34: winds southwest 35 knots shifting to west 25 by mid morning
then northwest 25 in the evening. Seas 1 to 2 metres building to 2 to
3 metres in the morning.


Lfa33: winds northwest 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 by noon then
light. Seas 2 metres diminishing to 1 metre near noon.

Lfa34: winds northwest 20 knots diminishing to 10 to 15 by noon then
light in the afternoon. Seas 1 to 2 metres diminishing to 1 late in
the afternoon.


Lfa33: winds light increasing to south 15 in the afternoon and south
25 in the evening. Seas 1 metre increasing to 1 to 2 in the
