At 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday trough located west of the Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Tuesday trough located from New Brunswick to East
Scotian Slope.
At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located from Labrador Sea to Georges
Bank.
By 10:00 a.m. ADT Tuesday ridge located from Labrador Sea to
Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:43 AM ADT 7 October 2024 A low pressure system south of Laurentian Fan will gradually movesoutheastward away from the district today. Strong to gale force
northeasterlies over southeastern waters will weaken as the low pulls
away.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau - southeastern half and Laurentian Fan.
At 6 A.M. ADT, hurricane Kirk was located near latitude 40.2 north
and longitude 41.0 west, with maximum sustained winds of 65 knots and
central pressure of 966 MB. Kirk was moving northeast at 26 knots.
