Issued 10:00 AM AST 14 December 2019 Today Tonight and Sunday At 10:00 a.m. AST today warm front located on a line east-westover the Gulf of Maine.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing warm front located on a line
east-west over Anticosti Island.
At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front located on a line north-south
over Cape Cod.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Sunday departing cold front located on a line
north-south over Banquereau.
At 10:00 a.m. AST today ridge located on a line east-west over
Banquereau.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located on a line east-west over
northern Newfoundland.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:50 AM AST 14 December 2019 A low pressure system will move north over the Eastern United Statesto lie over New England this evening and over Western Labrador by
Sunday evening. The warm front extending east from the low will move
north across the marine district to lie near Anticosti overnight
tonight and then depart. Strong to gale force southeasterlies north
of the front will veer to gale to storm force southerlies in its
wake.
The cold front from the low will extend south to Cape Cod this
evening and will move east to Banquereau by Sunday afternoon. Gale to
storm force southerlies ahead of it will veer to generally gale force
west to southwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Laurentian Fan. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters.
Large waves approaching from the south, combined with storm surge,
may cause minor flooding from Yarmouth County east to Queens County.
The highest risk will be near high tide, which will be at noon on
Sunday.
