Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:58 PM NST 27 January 2023 A trough associated with an intense low pressure system over the
Labrador Sea will depart to the east overnight tonight. Gale force
west to southwesterlies in the wake of the trough will diminish to
strong overnight as a ridge builds in from the west.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island Bank.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, Belle
