Marine Weather Statement
Issued 2:52 AM NDT 17 April 2026 A trough of low pressure currently over the Maritimes will trackeastward across Newfoundland today before moving east of the marine
district tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies are expected
to develop behind the trough tonight and will diminish on Saturday as
the trough moves away.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings in effect for Belle
Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and Northern Grand Banks.
Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Belle Isle Bank, and
Funk Island Bank.
