At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located from Labrador Sea to Funk
Island Bank.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing ridge located east of the Marine
District.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:53 AM NDT 15 October 2024 A low pressure system over the Gaspé Peninsula will tracknortheastward to lie over Belle Isle Bank by Wednesday morning where
it will further intensify. Strong to gale force southeast to
southwesterlies are expected ahead and south of the low's track,
while gale to storm force northeast to northwesterlies will develop
north of the low as it deepens Wednesday morning.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Southwest Coast, and East
Coast - north of Cape St. Francis.
