By 8:00 p.m. NDT Monday low 991 mb located east of Funk Island Bank.
At 10:00 a.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Maritimes.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Monday departing ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Funk Island Bank.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 9:54 AM NDT 11 October 2026 A trough of low pressure east of the Grand Banks will continue totrack eastward, as a ridge of high pressure slowly builds towards the
district from the west. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will
diminish later today as the trough departs to the east.
Secondly, a low pressure system will approach from the west tonight
before crossing Newfoundland on Monday to lie east of Funk Island
Bank by Monday evening. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will
develop ahead of the low while strong to gale force northwesterlies
develop in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Southwest Coast, South Coast, East Coast - Cape St. Francis and
south, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
