Issued 10:00 AM NST 7 December 2025 Today Tonight and Monday At 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary trough located east of
the Marine District.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over southwestern Newfoundland.
By 8:00 p.m. NST tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Newfoundland.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:53 AM NST 7 December 2025 A trough of low pressure east of the marine district will remain
stationary today before slowing moving eastward on Monday. Strong to
gale force northwesterlies are expected over eastern waters today and
tonight before weakening on Monday.

Meanwhile a low pressure system will approach the region from the
southwest on Monday. Over southern waters strong southeasterlies
ahead of the low will increase to gale force south to southwesterlies
as it nears. Gale force northwesterlies are expected behind the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Southwest Coast, South Coast, Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and
the Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle - eastern half, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
