By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday low 1001 mb located over the northern
Grand Banks.
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the West Coast of Newfoundland.
By 10:00 a.m. NDT Tuesday departing ridge located east of the
Grand Banks.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:20 PM NDT 13 April 2026 A low pressure system east of Funk Island Bank will slowly driftfurther out to sea tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterlies in
the wake of the low will gradually diminish tonight as the low
departs and a ridge of high pressure builds in from the west.
Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure over Quebec will track eastwards
before developing into a low pressure system over Southern
Newfoundland tonight. Strong to gale force southeasterlies to
southwesterlies will develop over southern waters south of the low
tonight.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Belle Isle Bank, Funk Island Bank, and the Grand Banks.
