Issued 3:00 AM NST 13 January 2026 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 956 mb located east of Belle Isle Bank.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Wednesday low 966 mb located southeast of
Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located south of the Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Wednesday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over the eastern Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:48 AM NST 13 January 2026 An intense low pressure system just east of Belle Isle Bank will
continue to track northeastward farther away from the district today
and Wednesday. Gale to hurricane force northwesterlies to
southwesterlies will gradually diminish over all waters as the low
moves away and weakens.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for Funk Island Bank and Northern Grand Banks.
Storm warnings are in effect for East Coast, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters
except Gulf-Port au Port.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, Northeast Coast, and
Belle Isle Bank.
