Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM AST 19 February 2026 Today Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. AST today ridge located over New England.
By 3:30 p.m. AST Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the central Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST Friday intensifying low 999 mb located southwest
of Georges Bank.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:24 AM AST 19 February 2026 A cold northwest flow will develop over northern and eastern waters
tonight and Friday. Freezing spray over open water is expected in
this northwest flow.

Marine interests are advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Cabot Strait, Gulf-Magdalen - northeastern half and
Anticosti.
