Wind southerly 40 to 50 knots with gusts to 65 from Margaree Harbour to Bay St. Lawrence. Wind diminishing to southwest 25 to 35 this afternoon and to southwesterly 20 to 25 near midnight. Wind veering to west 25 to 30 Friday evening.

Periods of rain ending this afternoon with a risk of thunderstorms. Flurries Friday evening. Fog patches dissipating late this afternoon.

Temperatures plus 8 falling to minus 1 Friday afternoon.

Issued 10:00 AM AST 12 December 2024 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:00 a.m. AST today trough located over the western Marine
District.
By 3:30 p.m. AST today trough located over the eastern Marine
District.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Friday departing trough located east of the
Marine District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:50 AM AST 12 December 2024 An intense trough of low pressure will continue to cross the marine
district today. Gale to storm force southerlies ahead of the trough
will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti. Gale warnings are in effect for all
remaining waters except Chaleur-Miscou - western half. Freezing
Spray warnings are in effect for Chaleur-Miscou and Anticosti.
