Issued 8:00 PM ADT 31 March 2023 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight ridge located on a line north-south overthe western Marine District.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Saturday departing ridge located east of the
Marine District.
At 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight warm front located south of Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Saturday warm front located from the St. Lawrence
River to Laurentian Fan.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 7:53 PM ADT 31 March 2023 A trough of low pressure over Southern Laurentian Fan will moverapidly away from the district this evening. A ridge of high pressure
over western waters will move eastward to lie east of the district by
Saturday afternoon. Light winds accompany the ridge.
On Saturday a warm front will cross the marine district. Winds will
increase to strong southeasterlies ahead of the front and will become
gale to storm force southwesterlies over southern waters in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
Georges Bank - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for Browns
Bank, Georges Bank - northern half, southwestern shore, LaHave Bank,
West Scotian Slope, eastern shore, Sable, East Scotian Slope,
Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan and Cabot Strait.
