Issued 2:50 AM AST 9 December 2025 A low pressure system east of Newfoundland will continue departingtoday. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will diminish slightly as
the low pulls away.
A trough of low pressure will approach tonight and cross the marine
district Wednesday. Strong to potentially gale force southwesterlies
will develop ahead of this feature.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen - northern half, Chaleur -
Miscou, and Anticosti.
Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Grand Manan, Lurcher,
southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Cabot Strait, and all
Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
