Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:17 PM ADT 10 October 2026 A trough of low pressure will pass over northeastern waters thisafternoon with strong to gale force northwesterlies. Winds will ease
tonight as a ridge approaches the district.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot Strait, Gulf - Magdalen -
northeastern half, and Anticosti - southwestern half.
Outlook for the start-up of the Upper Bay of Fundy lobster fishery.
Monday...Winds southwest 25 knots veering to west 10 to 15 knots
mid-day and then to northeast 25 in the evening. Choppy sea
conditions in the evening when winds will be running against the
rising tide.
Tuesday...Winds northeast 25 knots diminishing to east 15 to 20 knots
near noon then increasing to southeast 20 knots late in the day.
