Issued 3:30 PM AST 24 February 2024 Tonight and Sunday At 3:30 p.m. AST today trough located on a line north-south over
Cape Breton Island.
By 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday departing trough located on a line
north-south over the Grand Banks.

At 3:00 a.m. AST Sunday ridge located over New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Sunday ridge located over the southern Marine
District.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:08 PM AST 24 February 2024 A trough of low pressure will continue tracking eastward across the
marine district today and tonight. Gale force southerlies ahead of
the trough shift to strong to gale force northerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
LaHave Bank, West Scotian Slope, eastern shore - eastern half, Sable,
East Scotian Slope, Fourchu, Banquereau, Laurentian Fan, Cabot
Strait, and Gulf-Magdalen.

Freezing spray warnings are in effect for Fundy, Grand Manan,
Lurcher, southwestern shore, eastern shore, Fourchu, Banquereau,
Cabot Strait and all Gulf of St. Lawrence waters.
